The witch behind the counter

Hello there! I’m so so happy you found your way here.

My name is Risa, and I run this little shop, with my beloved partner. If you need anything, just let me know!

Oh, you want to know a little bit about my humble self? Well, I’ll be happy to tell you!

Just like many self-taught artists, I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil. Ever since, it has been one of my favorite pass-times.

Honestly, is there a better way to clear your mind, than to spend hours and hours drawing the same hand over and over again because you refuse to look at a reference and it just won’t turn out right and you start to question your sanity and all your life-choices? *manic laughter*

Up until the age of 16, I worked almost exclusively with traditional media like colored pencils and Copic markers. Whenever inspiration struck me, I’d also try my hands on some acrylic paintings, but I can’t say the medium ever really stuck with me.

Then, in 10th grade, I was lucky enough to be part of my school’s first ever advanced art course, which allowed me a deeper insight into different meida, art tools, and ways of working. This experience broadened my horizon widely.

It’s also when I picked up digital art for the first time.

Nowadays, I mostly work digitally on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil and Procreate. However, traditional media will always hold a special place in my heart. I’d still take a good pencil sketch over a digital one anytime.

The dream-team behind the scenes

In 2015 I discovered another passion - cosplay.

It opened a door to a completely new world for me, the world of Worbla, EVA-foam and foam clay. Luckily, thanks to my mom and grandma, I already had the basic skillset of sewing; and thanks to my advanced art class, I had gotten pretty decent at painting and sculpting as well. Additional to that, I had to learn a whole new skillset, including modeling and photo editing.

Passion eventually attracts passion, and so in 2021 I met my partner through this shared interest. Clorbeck is my stronghold, and the backbone of the cosplay-related part of this shop.

He also takes care of my moods during con-crunch, and is the main reason I get anything done at all

In the end, we’re just two huge nerds who love what they do, and want to share it with the world!

Thank you for your support!

Together we are living in a small apartment in the South-West of Germany, with our cat Morpheus and a whole army of house plants.

We both are working our silly little jobs in different companies, and are running this silly little shop in our free time. It means a whole lot to both of us, that you are here right now, reading this silly little text I wrote at 8:45 pm on a Saturday night (so please excuse that this is getting a little bit weird right now).
